One-to-one and small group Pilates sessions are available. These sessions will complement and progress treatments given by other health care professionals.

With doctors, osteopaths, physiotherapists and other health care professionals, we can cater for people recovering from a stroke, injury and surgery.

Jane’s speciality is working with post-operative scar tissue. Working with micro movement, sometimes just a thought will be enough to make subtle changes to scar tissue.

Posture changes as a result of post-operative scar tissue, therefore there may be pain in another area. We need to gently undo compensatory movement patterns to achieve good, pain-free movement.

This can be done with the use of Joseph Pilates’ specialist equipment: the Reformer; Caddilac and Chair, all of which have springs to add assistance or resistance.

Everything in us is connected by fascia so movement is good for our tissues. Our tissues need loading, stretching and compression to be healthy.
